A replacement brown gas meter box lid designed to suit the Mitras Connect Semi-Buried Gas Meter Box. This lid is supplied with the latch, lock and hinges. This brown gas meter box lid fits perfectly and can be installed without any tools (although we recommend using a flat head screwdriver).
Will this fit my meter box?
If your current damaged meter box lid is brown, has four horizontal ‘slats’ across it rather than five, and measures around 39 – 43cm across and around 42 -46cm from front to back, then this lid will be a direct replacement for yours.
If you do not currently have a lid on your floor-mounted brown meter box, and the opening of your meter box is around 39 – 41cm across and around 42 – 44cm front to back, then this lid will be a direct replacement for yours. Your box should look like this one: Mitras Connect Semi-Buried Gas Meter Box.
The measurements for replacement lids always vary slightly depending on who is taking them and how they do it, and so if yours generally fits the description above then this is the lid for you. It is a standard sized lid, built to the British Standards and regulations surrounding meter boxes, and so is a direct replacement for lids of the same four ‘slat’ style.

Returns During the Holidays
Please do not send returns back to us during the closure period.
Instead, wait until 5th January 2026 to return your item.
This will not affect your 14-day return window — we’ll fully account for the Christmas closure when assessing return eligibility and refunds.
